These DIY Welded Frame plans are exactly what you need when making your own Teardrop Trailer. Build it Right, Build it Once!
Design
When I made my DIY Teardrop Camper, I wish I’d had these Welded Frame Plans. After welding my first teardrop trailer frame in 2007, I wanted a better set of plans to use for the trailers I built for my customers. This teardrop trailer frame is the result of that effort. The resulting trailer is quality, tough, affordable, and efficient to build.
In 2020, more and more DIY builders wanted great (not just OK) plans to use for a teardrop trailer frame. I took our internal manufacturer’s plans -that we’ve used since 2009- and made them easy to understand for someone who doesn’t work at Overland Teardrop Trailer. All of these cut lists, tool lists, safety concerns, and (most importantly) the best processes and sequences to weld the trailer together are exactly our process at Overland Trailer. Now you can DIY the same teardrop trailer frame design that is manufacturer tested over 10+ years with numerous commercial builds.
